The late afternoon sun, which was already leaning towards the horizon, colored the studio in shades of apricot and pink.
Justine, who had made herself comfortable on the chaise longue, watched as Anastasia, whose slender figure was marked by light and shadow, adjusted the camera.
A sigh escaped Anastasia's lips, a sound as familiar to Justine as her own breathing. “He hasn't come back, has he?” murmured Justine, her voice barely a whisper against the low hum of the city outside.
