Nicolas Larriere is a French photographer who has been practicing his art for around fifteen years.
His almost ecstatic and instinctive approach to photography leads him to create images imbued with a dark and often erotic aesthetic, where women appear as ethereal muses.
For him, the present moment is what matters most. And perhaps it is precisely because he is so acutely aware of the ephemeral nature of things that he seeks to capture and freeze them for eternity… capturing that fleeting instant when the model reveals herself, allowing him to grasp the very essence of who she is.
A true jack-of-all-trades, there is nothing he cannot sublimate. His favorite quote, „Look into my eyes, you will find yourself sublime,“ offers a glimpse into the inner workings of his art. Nicolas says it very well: „My primary desire is to share with the people who step in front of my lens the vision I have of them, and for my aesthetic approach to give them confidence.“
